Conditions Vienna - Day Camps

Board and accomodation
If you do not live in Vienna, your accommodation will be provided and paid for.
Accommodation is in a student dorm close to the camp and to the city centre.
Comfortable single rooms; WiFi, cooking facilities (dishes & cutlery provided).
Board
Breakfast and dinner is the responsibility of the employee.
Lunch, afternoon snack and juice at lunch are provided Monday through Friday.
All the extras have to be paid. Soft drinks can be purchased in the restaurant or in the vending machines.
Tea/coffee facilities are provided.
If you are a vegetarian and/or have special diet needs, please inform the management so that special arrangements can be made.
Working Conditions
- Monday through Friday from 8:30 — approx. 16:30 with 3 breaks in between (2 hours)
- All the staff members will be provided with the detailed and carefully planned Manuals, which they must read, understand and follow
- Fully equipped classroom and excellent teaching resources.
- The staff members are responsible for the camp participants from 9 a.m. to 16:30 and must be constantly
concerned with their safety, health and social needs.
Children must never be left unsupervised. - All the staff members must assist in setting up/closing the camp, meet and orient campers and parents on the opening day and participate in the Get-Together Afternoon on the last day.
Time off
- Saturdays and Sundays are days off
- In special cases a staff member may be released for a specific period of time, if this does not exceed two days. Such reasons might include death or illness in the family or urgent personal business.
- In this case the days off the duty will not be paid

English Day Camps

09:00 -- 10:30 English classes/assignments & project work
10:30 -- 11:00 break
11:00 -- 12:30 English classes/assignments & project work
12:30 lunch break
13:30 -- 16:30 afternoon activities (sports, games, arts & crafts, projects etc.
approx. 16:30 end of the programme
Duties
Teachers
- prepare and teach classes according to the E4Kids® method & Teacher's Manual
- motivate and encourage students to use the target language
- correct students´ notebooks and workbooks at least twice a week
- actively participate in the afternoon activities and project work
- plan and prepare a festival/theme to be celebrated at the Get-Together Afternoon on the last day
- Every teacher teaches two different classes throughout one course.
- They may be the same level or two different levels.
- Teachers may be asked to teach different levels each course.
- Groups are approx. 10 - 12 students; same age, same language level
- Use of multimedia.
Camp Counsellors
- actively supervise the children in the homework room in the morning
- plan the afternoon activities, which will include all kinds of sports, arts and crafts, games and quizzes, drama, dancing, singing or computer workshops
- make sure that all important information is posted on the bulletin boards
- plan and prepare project work for the afternoon activities
- help teachers prepare the Get-Together Afternoon on the last day
