Conditions Residential Summer Camps
Lachstatt, Upper Austria
Board and Accommodation
All the staff members are provided with full board and accommodation at the residential camps in Lachstatt
Accommodation in spacious double rooms with a shower and WC. Bedsheets and towels are provided.
If desired, single room occupancy is possible at an extra cost of € 10,- per night to be paid by the employee.
Personal visitors of staff are strongly discouraged during sessions because of the nature of the camp responsibilities and
interdependence of the staff.
If questions or special situations arise, they must be discussed with the supervisor. Visitors must be reported
and pay for their accommodation at the hotel.
There are laundry facilities on site (approx. € 1,50 per machine).
Transport down to the shopping centre/Linz can be arranged and must paid for.
Full board includes 3 meals and drinks (juice).
All the extras have to be paid.
Soft drinks can be purchased in the restaurant or in the vending machines.
Tea/coffee facilities provided at self-costs.
If you are a vegetarian and/or have special diet needs, please inform the management so that special arrangements can be made.

Wi-Fi provided at the camp premises.
Working Conditions
On the average approximately 30 - 36 hours a week, but since this is a residential camp, all the staff members are expected to be available whenever necessary.
The working hours may differ depending on the postion and daily camp schedule. Evenings are usually free for staff and kids, but it is still important that the staff is visible and available during this time.
All the staff members must be in the restaurant at meal times on time.
- All the staff members are provided with the detailed and carefully planned manuals, which they must read, understand and follow.
- Fully equipped classrooms and excellent teaching resources
- The staff is responsible for the camp participants 24 hours a day during the programme and thus must be constantly concerned with their safety, health and social needs
- All the staff members must assist in setting up/closing the camp and meet and orient campers and parents on the opening days of the camps

16:15 -- 17:30 afternoon activities (sports, games, arts & crafts, projects etc.)
18:00 dinner
19:15 -- 21:30 free time / camp fire / games on the meadow / disco
21:30 -- 22:30 going to bed
22:30 ligths off
Duties
Teachers
- prepare and teach classes according to the E4Kids® method & Teacher´s Manual
- motivate and encourage students to use the target language
- prepare props and teaching materials about own country and plan the morning and the afternoon activities for this day (arts&crafts, songs, dances etc.)
- correct students´ notebooks and workbooks at least twice a week
- actively participate in the afternoon activities
- prepare a festival to be celebrated with the whole camp, i. e. activities in the afternoon and a performance in the evening
- actively participate in the other cultural events in The Village
- every teacher teaches two different classes throughout one course. They may be the same level or two different levels. Teachers may be asked to teach different levels each course. Groups -- approx. 10 - 12 students; same age, same language level. Use of multimedia and video, computer, Internet
Camp Counsellors
- plan the afternoon and evening activities, which will include all kinds of sports, baking, arts & crafts, drama, dancing, singing or computer workshops
- help teachers develop cultural presentations
- make sure that all the kids have signed up for activities by the end of lunch, and that the materials needed for the activities are ready by 2:30 when everyone meets
- make sure that all important information is posted on the bulletin boards
- rent and collect sports equipment and films
- plan and prepare Camp Olympic Games
- actively supervise the assignments in the morning
